Now housing a period mirror plate possibly replacing an original portrait miniature. \u003c\/span\u003e\n\nJames VI inherited the English and Irish thrones in 1603 in the Union of the Crowns, and quartered the Royal Arms of England with those of Scotland. The Royal Arms of Ireland was added to represent the Kingdom of Ireland.
